Post #1 That Got Me a Two-Week Ban from A [Sponsored Brand] Bra That Fits

Intro

I made this post, but then I decided that I need to go through and show everything, the mod responses from A [Sponsored Brand] Bra That Fits, so people know what I'm talking about. (Otherwise, if I'm just like, "Oh, the mods said this..." people don't know what I'm referring to. So, fasten your seatbelts, I'll go through each "ban" separately.

Who Runs the A [Sponsored Brand] Bra That Fits subreddit?

It is run by a lingerie marketing corporation. Did it start out this way? I have absolutely no idea! I wasn't around the forum back in 2010 or 2011 (whenever it was started), but the forum was clearly taken over (I could stake my life on it!) by a lingerie marketing corporation.

Of note: I honestly feel like the corporation tries to take over my forum as well. More on that in another post though.

Do You Know What Corporation Runs the A [Sponsored Brand] Bra That Fits subreddit?

I'm 99% sure I know which company runs the subreddit, which is a lingerie marketing corporation based out of New York, NY.

However, part of being a digital marketer is "the con," as in: it's important to be covert-like. They want people thinking they are just enthusiastic bra wearers!!

Furthermore, they would only hire people who sign a "non-disclosure agreement," so even if somebody quits, they can't go online and be like, "hey, I used to work as an online sales shill. AMA!" or they would get sued.

That being said, there are whistleblower laws in the United States. For example, if someone is forced to do something unlawful in their job - like cyberstalking or online harassment - as long as they have the screenshots/evidence, they are protected and can sue.

How I got banned from the "A [Sponsored Brand] Bra that Fits" forum on reddit, not that you asked.

I'm just going to keep calling it "A [Sponsored Brand] Bra that Fits" subreddit.

couple disclaimers 1) am I a passionate person? yes. Despite that, I never been banned from any other forums on reddit πŸ˜‚, even for the exact same conversations (read below, the convo I had with u/DorothyDee over on r/LingerieAddiction - somehow that same convo gets me "banned" from ABraThatFits?)

2) I had no idea that the ABraThatFits forum was run by a lingerie marketing corporation. In light of that, all of these conversations make sense - save the first one.

First 2-week Ban

- I did actually break the rules of the forum by asking for photographic proof that a bra fit as good as she claimed it did.

Thread here  Archive is here https://archive.ph/2TcQO (interesting, the mod Meowgan17 said it was the 2nd time I asked for photographic proof that a bra fit as well. I thought it was a shill post. Katherine Hamilton was one of the sponsored brands *at that time* - they're not anymore though, this was back in 2021, when the brand Katherine Hamilton was being shoved down our throats).

Second 2-week Ban

I fail to see how my comment warranted a "ban," read the comment below.

I broke the rule "Be excellent [to our sponsored brands/stores]", /s.

Here is the thread. Obviously, my comment is deleted by the mods, but I saved it to my blog here. Archive is  here https://archive.ph/whomc

3rd & Final Ban from ABraThatFits Mods

It was re: this post - oh man, the post is deleted!! It was from this redditor https://www.reddit.com/user/DorothyDee/, (archive is here https://archive.ph/4NAvL) all I have are some of the screenshots from the discussion, see this thread (archive is https://archive.ph/9rcTC

I guess she deleted all of her posts? On both r/ABraThatFits and r/LingerieAddiction. The post from r/Lingerie Addiction, I def did not get banned from.

Edit: I did actually find this post on r/LingerieAddiction, you can see it here https://www.reddit.com/r/LingerieAddiction/comments/qu2u94/comment/hkp9vpy/ but this is only because I reported her comment, and the reddit admin considered it to be legit harassment. You can also see my response, here's the archive is https://archive.ph/uTcau Actually, here is a better archive is link, it shows the entire post https://archive.ph/qQ1Vl Wild muses locked the post.

Okay, so, what the ABraThatFits mods told me makes zero sense b/c I literally write posts criticizing the brand Katherine Hamilton on my blog, several months prior (see posts here and here), so for the ABraThatFits mods to say I am the same person as user u/DorothyDee makes zero sense. I would write a post for the Black Friday Sale for Katherine Hamilton? No!

And then argue with myself in a thread? To the point where I report "myself" to reddit admins and they block the u/DorothyDee account for three days.

u/DorothyDee is located in the UK (mods a forum).

shill alert!

Note: you have to go to the archive.is link https://archive.ph/Om2s0 and not the shills regular profile. BECAUSE the shills tend to *change their content* (if you get my drift) as soon as I call them out. OF COURSE! So, going to their actual profile after I write a post is gonna be different. I would only go to their archive.is link, and scroll back.

They're just going to change their ways. That's the way it goes! u/NotAWitch-YourWife is a con man, and she's trying not to be detected!

Examples: Below comment = too much knowledge (& aggressively plugging the sponsored brands) to be a volunteer, you know!

Below is a typical shill response. The post could even be written by a shill, who knows!! op asks about SKIMS and SOMA, and that answer always is...BUY OUR SPONSORED BRANDS! Three OSS accounts respond to this post Plus, if op had breast augmentation surgery, she probably wants to "Go Polish!" (Polish bras work really well for augmented breasts) and not wear crappy Freya!

Typical shill response. Note the brands plugged are always the sponsored brands.

Below comment: OSS accounts always discourage non-sponsored stores (in this case, Breakoutbras since they want to plug Bravissimo) and non-sponsored brands (in this case Comexim since they want to plug Freya, Elomi, Panache, Bravissimo). Get it!?

It might look SUBTLE (it's subtle put downs) but this shills do this all the time. The purpose of this post is to plug their sponsored store, Bravissimo, and make them look like the best.

So, they're saying three things with this comment A) Breakoutbras return policy isn't as good as Bravissimo's B) Comexim doesn't fit me, and I'm stuck with a Comexim that doesn't fit (like, put it on r/braswap!) and C) plugging UK brands.

Again, I just don't buy that this OSS has *this bad of a fit* in Comexim "oh my gawd, it's so hard!! I can't even nail down my fit with the fitter from Breakoutbras!" (who is excellent, btw!) But yet at the same time, she's an expert in fit on the sponsored brands - Panache Ana, Freya, etc.? πŸ˜‚Yeah, righhttt.

You might say, "she can't be a shill, she made a post" Yeah, but then she just talks about how she somehow can't find her fit in Comexim (Meanwhile, I ordered directly from Comexim and found my fit, easily breezily, looking at data on bratabase & using their size chart. As a complete bra-fit newbie! I'm in Canada, and I didn't even know Breakoutbras existed!) So, I just don't buy that u/NotAWitch-YourWife can not find her fit in Comexim, but yet on all the other comments, they're a bra-fit expert in the sponsored brands. That's complete bullsh#t. Furthermore, the post is just to throw shade on Breakoutbras return policy.

"I don't like my bra budget being eaten up by shipping fees." Sure, throw more shade on the superior bra store. More shade on Breakoutbras on a recent thread here, too. There bras are so much less expensive than their sponsored store, Bravissimo. Plus, Breakoutbras has way better brands! Variety! And Polish brands. So ABraThatFits is not the best info for where to buy bras.

Note: she does recommend a non-sponsored brand here.  I guess this OSS acct doesn't want to be too obvious.

Recommending the sponsored brand here.

This isn't the way a volunteer talks. It's like, too much info!

Here they are - making a post again. Answered by multiple sales shills! They're trying to discouarage people from buying Understance - you must buy their sponsored brands!

Recommending sponsored brand.

Recommending sponsored brand

Putting down non-sponsored store (Breakoutbras). So, ABraThatFits is not a good source of info.

Recommending sponsored brand.

Again, I don't think this is the way a volunteer talks

Recommending to go to the ABrathatFits forum from another reddit forum r/ TwoXChromosomes

Wow, one month ago, the online sales shills were still recommending Bare Necessities! who knew! I guess they had paid up their invoice at that time.

Recommending all of the sponsored brands. I could go on!

Referencing another shill.  one con man refers to another con man.πŸ˜‚

SOCK PUPPET ACCOUNT

 Another definition, via WIKIPEDIA

SOCK PUPPET ACCOUNT

via GIPHY

sock puppet is a false online identity used for deceptive purposes.[1] The term originally referred to a hand puppet made from a sock. Sock puppets include online identities created to praise, defend, or support a person or organization,[2] to manipulate public opinion,[3] or to circumvent restrictions such as viewing a social media account that a user is blocked from. Sock puppets are unwelcome in many online communities and forums.

Investigation of sockpuppetry

[edit]

A number of techniques have been developed to determine whether accounts are sockpuppets, including comparing the IP addresses of suspected sockpuppets and comparative analysis of the writing style of suspected sockpuppets.[16] Using GeoIP it is possible to look up the IP addresses and locate them.[17]

[edit]

In The Simpsons twenty-third season episode "Lisa Goes Gaga", Lisa sets up a sock puppet account under the name "Truth Teller" on Springfield Elementary's school blog. She uses it to post positive things about herself in an effort to increase her popularity, after being voted the least popular student in school. She becomes even less popular after her ruse is found out.[44]

SHILL DEFINITION

 PER THE WIKIPEDIA

via GIPHY

shill, also called a plant or a stooge, is a person who publicly helps or gives credibility to a person or organization without disclosing that they have a close relationship with said person or organization, or have been paid to do so. Shills can carry out their operations in the areas of media, journalism, marketing, politics, sports, confidence gamescryptocurrency, or other business areas. A shill may also act to discredit opponents or critics of the person or organization in which they have a vested interest.[1][2]

In most uses, shill refers to someone who purposely gives onlookers, participants or "marks" the impression of an enthusiastic customer independent of the seller, marketer or con artist, for whom they are secretly working. The person or group in league with the shill relies on crowd psychology to encourage other onlookers or audience members to do business with the seller or accept the ideas they are promoting. Shills may be employed by salespeople and professional marketing campaigns. Plant and stooge more commonly refer to a person who is secretly in league with another person or outside organization while pretending to be neutral or part of the organization in which they are planted, such as a magician's audience, a political party, or an intelligence organization (see double agent).[citation needed]

Shilling is illegal in many circumstances and under many jurisdictions[3] because of the potential for fraud and damage. However, if a shill does not place uninformed parties at a risk of loss, the shill's actions may be legal. For example, a person planted in an audience to laugh and applaud when desired (see claque), or to participate in on-stage activities as a "random member of the audience", is a legal type of shill.[4]

Internet

[edit]

In online discussion media, shills make posts expressing opinions that further interests of an organization in which they have a vested interest, such as a commercial vendor or special interest group, while posing as unrelated innocent parties. For example, an employee of a company that produces a specific product might praise the product anonymously in a discussion forum or group in order to generate interest in that product, service, or group. Web sites can also be set up for the same purpose. In addition, some shills use sock puppetry, where one person poses as multiple users.[citation needed]

In some jurisdictions and circumstances, this type of activity is illegal. The plastic surgery company Lifestyle Lift ordered their employees to post fake positive reviews on websites. As a result, they were sued, and ordered to pay $300,000 in damages by the New York Attorney General's office.[8]

Marketing

[edit]

In marketing, shills are often employed to assume the air of satisfied customers and give testimonials to the merits of a given product. This type of shilling is illegal in some jurisdictions, but almost impossible to detect. It may be considered a form of unjust enrichment or unfair competition, as in California's Business & Professions Code § 17200, which prohibits any "unfair or fraudulent business act or practice and unfair, deceptive, untrue or misleading advertising".[9]

odd comments from OSS u/galaxystarsmoon

Okay, the first one - this is odd. They were paid to heavily promote the online store, Bare Necessites in the past. I guess that invoice wasn't paid for the services to continue!

I mean, typical shill response. I've seen the shills write out that response many times before - it's bra-shopping b.s.

No one needs to fit into "their brands," the online sales shills are just paid to plug their sponsored brands (Wacoal-Eveden, Panache, and Bravissimo). Take everything the OSS accts say on that forum with a grain of salt.

Bare Necessities

Two of the marketing corp's sponsored stores GOOB? Bravissimo in New York??!! and now Bare Necessities??!!

I guess paying a marketing corp that cyberstalks women & bra-wearers online didn't pay off?? Maybe they should've paid slightly more to their customer service folk instead #JustAnIdea so they could've had slightly better rapport

I digress, posted by u/Capable_Okra, but then the first two answers are both OSS accts (as pointed out in this post here) The OSS accts (first two commenters) are u/galaxystarsmoon and u/28FFthrowaway

Post here, "Bare Necessities Customer Service

okay, the responses are laughable. of course the online sales shills know what's going on with *the store they were paid to heavily promote for years* BARE NECESSITIES DIDN'T PAY THEIR INVOICE/RENEW THEIR CONTRACT, etc.

Here is u/galaxystarsmoon response

Hmm, what could it be?

via GIPHY

OSS accts have not been shilling Bare Necessities religiously, like they have in the past!

Oh, and the next response from u/28FFthrowaway (who I already pointed out as an online sales shill in this post) SHE TAKES THE OPPORTUNITY TO PLUG ANOTHER SPONSORED STORE, Bravissimo.

It's like they never miss an opportunity to shill their crappy brands/stores. (well, they're paid to do so)

via GIPHY

There are further recent complaints about Bare Necessities that you can easily find if you go to the r/ABrathatfits forum and search "Bare Necessities," I decided not to link them here.

Compare this to the many positive posts re: online store Bare Necessities previously on the forum

the birth of an online sales shill 🐣 u/truly_beyond_belief

witness an online sales shill being born πŸ‘Ά

I noticed the birth of some new online sales shill when I visited r/ABrathatFits

1. She follows the typical pattern of commenting back and forth between a couple other related forums, and bra forums to plug product - granted they have changed a lot since I made this post last March. But if you pull up the online sales shill accounts, they always rotate back and forth between several non bra forums and the bra forums.

So, this online sales shill r/truly_beyond_belief, rotates between r/ABraThatFits, r/BigBoobProblems, etc. and r/straycats, r/fosteranimals, r/Pets, etc.

2. High karma "aged account" - but yet just started posting in Sept 2024? Today is Oct 29, 2024 and yet they somehow started an account 6 years ago, but just only started commenting last month? But yet they have 57, 980 "comment karma"? From less than two months of commenting on reddit? I can scroll to the end of their comments in one sitting!?

that's why I called this post "the birth of an online sales shill"

So, if you look at this reddit analyzer, they really just only started commenting last month

https://reddit-user-analyser.netlify.app/#truly_beyond_belief

Marketing Corp. purchases "high karma accts" from website (google "buy reddit account" or "buy high karma reddit account"), 58,000+ in karma - she just started commenting with this account last month πŸ˜‚

I'm publishing this on Oct 29, 2024. this "aged, high-karma reddit account" (obviously purchased online) was created 6 years ago, but only started commenting last month? And suddenly has 57,980 "comment karma" Surrrrreeee.

3. If this really was a "high karma reddit acct",  you're not going to be able to scroll all the way through their comments in one sittingπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ that's laughable.

4. If you look at their "removed comments on reddit" their COMMENTS only started a month ago https://old.reddit.com/api/info?id=t1_ltrc76s,t1_ltpe41i,t1_lsqu81f,t1_lr294sv,t1_lppaovl,t1_lpoqsa7,t1_lplwxmh,t1_lor7moc,t1_lodlygv,t1_locm11f,t1_lnmcdq3,t1_lmzulox

reveddit infos.

AGAIN, all of the COMMENTS started a month ago.
